On February first, Scouts from Delmar Troop 71 participated in the Klondike derby. At Rotary Scout reservation the scouts had to complete complex tasks. They are competing against 15 other troops and are trying to win the most amount of points out of 7 activities. When the scouts arrived at Rotary they were inspected on if they had proper materials and clothes. During the Klondike derby, they participated in activities such as fire building, First aid, Morse code, Building a ladder, orienteering, and many other tasks. During the ending ceremony, they earned the first place ribbon for Orienteering and First aid. At the end of the day, the scouts had so much fun.
