2019 District Camporee at Cook Park (with delicious crêpes)

Updated: May 22, 2020

During the annual District Fall Camporee, we accomplished many tasks. The Camporee started on Friday and ended on Sunday. On Friday we pitched our tents, warmed up by a fire, roasted marshmallows and then went to bed. On Saturday, we mulched the playground as part of a community service project and then got to play on the newly mulched playground. Later in the day, there were activities such as First Aid Tomahawk throwing, archery and much more. Also, a New York trapper came and showed us how they trap animals. Later in the day, there was a dessert competition. Our troop made nutella crepes with fresh berries, bananas, and homemade whipped cream; they were beautiful and delicious! After performing skits in the evening, a scouting tradition, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that we won the desert competition! We came in first and got a ribbon for our troop flag. Before bedtime, we enjoyed our award winning crepes by the fire. On Sunday morning, we had breakfast, packed our bags, and cleaned up the park before saying goodbye to a fun weekend.
